  4. The files contained in this archive (originally named HOW2LINK.ZIP),
  5. consists of a sample page from our web site, entitled "HOW2LINK.HTM,"
  6. together with all supporting graphics files.

  8. The sample HTML page is primarily intended to demonstrate:

  10.    o  How to link to third party Web pages to your Web site
  11.  
  12.    o  How to allow users to download ZIP archives located on
  13.       your Web site
  14.  
  15.    o  How to allow users to download files from a third party site,
  16.       via direct links to same incorporated into your Web pages
  17.  
  18.    o  How to link graphics, located on third part sites, to 
  19.       your Web page
  20.  
  21.    o  How to create hyperlink graphics, located on your Web pages,
  22.       to files located on your Web site or a third party site
  23.  
  24. The actual page provides detailed instructions and sample code.
  25.  
  26. In addition, close examination of the HTML source will provide insight
  27. into using several advanced HTML formating techniques that could also
  28. be of use to many new Web publishers.

  30. To view the Web page in your Web browser, simply copy all files
  31. to a single directory on your hard drive, and open the file named
  32. "HOW2LINK.HTM."  If you go online, all hyperlinks incorporated
  33. in the page should be functional.
